Term 4 – Weekly Class Assignments
The Joy of Being: Space to BE: Introducing Kum Nye for the Mind—Giving Ease to Body, Mind, and Senses
The practice of Kum Nye promotes deep relaxation, giving mind space to BE. – The Joy of Being p. 115
This term works closely with several key Joy of Being chapters (“Mind and Perceptions” and “Getting the Juice of Experience”). Meditations and movement practice help relieve deep-seated tension and blockages and encourage embodied understanding of mental and somatic patterning. Kum Nye teaches us that the body can help relax the mind and stimulate its sensory capacities, while the flow of feeling relaxes the senses and opens the heart.
