Drawing from two years of morning practice at Ratna Ling starting in 2012, and retreats with Dharma Publishing and Nyingma Institute Instructors, Andrea is a certified instructor of Kum Nye, offering guidance the Kansas City area. For over 10 years, she has been offering Kum Nye in carceral settings, currently at the Transition Center of Kansas City.
There is an active in-person practice group, Sundays from 9AM – 10AM, where Andrea and August currently share facilitation. Join us at St. Mark’s Church on 3800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, 64109, through Rime Buddhist Center.

Eliza Bishop is a professional teacher, coach, writer, and editor, with degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Oxford Universities. A Tibetan Buddhist and Yoga practitioner for twenty years who appreciates and shares these modalities as tools for developing the mind of the heart. As a Kum Nye facilitator, her focus is on the inner healing and greater well-being that naturally occurs by expanding one’s ability to be fully embodied and present. Elizabeth Morris is a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed massage therapist, a hospital chaplain and registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance in the USA. She earned her graduate degrees from Harvard Divinity School and Boston University. As a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner she aims to bring her background in meditation to her Tibetan yoga classes. She has practiced and taught yoga for over 20 years and has certifications in Ayurvedic yoga (Ayuryoga), Prenatal and Postpartum yoga, as well as Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga with the Nyingma Institute. She brings a trauma-informed lens to all of her classes and teaches globally both in person and online.

Adele grew up in a ballet school in Devon, but swapped her point shoes for a Yoga mat in her early 20’s. Yoga became a passion and Adele trained as a Yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2005. James is an accredited psychotherapist and Kum Nye instructor based in London in the United Kingdom. He specialises in using Kum Nye to assist those who have experienced trauma to heal and to feel at home in their bodies.  James has worked with journalists, police and the military, but his classes are open to anyone who has an interest in learning Kum Nye. He has an interest in Tibetan Buddhism and co-facilitates workshops on Tibetan lucid dreaming practices for trauma alongside the lucid dreaming teacher and author Charlie Morley.  He has a Masters Degree in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy from The Karuna Institute in Devon, England.

Liza Weber (PhD) is a Buddhist practitioner who specialises in Kum Nye Tibetan yoga and healing practices, as well as the art of Tibetan Buddhist iconography. A qualified Kum Nye teacher with the Nyingma Institute, Berkeley, and having trained under the master thangka painter, Andy Weber, Liza brings together her knowledge and experience of sacred movement and imagery to deliver classes and courses that, with playful curiosity, explore the wellspring of the “energy body”. Lucy has been practising yoga and meditation for 30 years. She first encountered Kum Nye while attending a British Wheel of Yoga Meditation course in 2007 and qualified as a Kum Nye teacher in 2024. Lucy’s background is in science (BSc Biochemistry) and commerce (as a Chartered Surveyor) but for the past 15 years she has been teaching the full spectrum of yoga: movement, breath work, deep relaxation and meditation, qualified by the British Wheel of Yoga. She has specialisms in Yoga for Mental Health, Yoga for Autism and ADHD and Yoga Nidra (non-sleep deep rest). She continues to study and practice meditation within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
